Absolutely fabulous restaurant all around! Lovely tasteful modern interior with excellent service even if you are American :-) Five of us ate here tonight and had a superb experience, worthy of 2 Michelin stars, not the one it has- in comparison to other one star rated restaurants we've eaten at.
Four of us had the 4 course menu and one went a la carte (a nice option to consider). I started with a lovely glass of champagne, then had several amuse bouche to sample. The bread that came was warm and delicious (house made I presume) - always an excellent indicator of the quality of dinner to come. I had 4 wines accompaniments that were perfectly paired with the food. The first fish dish as well as the escargot one were paired in unusual ways with a variety of ingredients that worked really well. The main veal dish was perfect with the flavor of chanterelles, spinach, fig and carrot. Our palates were cleansed with a very light pear mousse. The dessert that followed was to die for!
If you are in Aix, don't miss having a meal at this restaurant. Hopefully I will come back and when I return I definitely hope to eat here again!
Excellent service, atmosphere, and incredible food and wine pairings. Truly deserving of a Michelin star!
Good but not great. I'm not sure this restaurant deserves a Michelin star. The presentation was excellent and attractive. But please see my review of a much simpler restaurant- Hue Cocotte - for more authentic food. Relative to other one star restaurants in the world this place isn't quite as good. However, service was nice and we liked the ambience.
