Avis sur Les Fontaines Blanches

Total waste of time! Busy place, looks nice inside, but staff doesn't pay attention and absolutely uninformative. We've been waiting for our food for about an hour before we learned that it's not even being prepared due to electricity shut down! Waiters don't pay attention so we had to raise our hand every time or go find them ourselves. As a result, we had ten beers, spent 100+€ and walked out hungry!

It's a great place, with a good balance of taste, volume, service quality, coziness and price, especially given that it's located right in the middle of a major skiing station. A friend and I went there for lunch while we were skiing in Avoriaz as a major storm was mounting. The upper part of the station was being closed and we spend our morning skiing in a blizzard with very little visibility. The entry into the warmth and coziness of the restaurant was very welcome. Despite being right during the rush hour, we were seated right away and given the cards. We went with a pizza and a pasta - given that we were already familiar with local platters and wanted to keep skiing later that day, so not overload ourselves with cheese and got enough food for our money. A bit of coffee with a selection of desserts (all of which were delicious) finished the meal nicely. We also had a nice chat with a group sitting at the next table; which goes to say that this location is a great spot to come together, enjoy food and meet other people. Would definitely recommend!

My wife, daughter and I had a great meal here. Warning: the portions are enormous! Two meals for the price of one. My wife had the duck in a blueberry sauce , my daughter had the ribs and fries, and I had the lamb shank tagine. The ribs are in a sweet barbecue sauce. The one dessert that stood out was mine: a done noir filled with chocolate mousse and a vanilla sponge. Good value. We'll go there again.
