Walked along here every morning on the way to work at the festival. An absolutely beautiful view with beautiful people.
Beautiful beach in Cannes, thankfully the weather cleared out on our last day so we could enjoy it. The Hotel Martinez has a great setup with a restaurant, bar, lounge chairs, couches and a large diving dock. Service is good which includes a waiter/waitress, towels, chair setup etc.
The only knock is the beach is long and free which attracts annoying vendors and people offering massages.
Definitely smaller than promenade des anglais in Nice, but certainly less windy and noisy. Ideal for recreational walks, coffee or ice-cream treats, leisurely lie on the fine sand beach under the hot sunny beams or just for a calm afternoon wave spotting as I took on my visit. I gazed at the sea for whole three hours not feeling the time fly by. There are comfy blue chairs for promenade walkers, that is something about France and French culture - beauty isn't only natural but a human law also - colours match, there is nothing disturbing the eye here - it is endowing the eye and the mind atmosphere. Among the hottest attraction of plage restaurants and discos is the Festival Palace where the world popular film festival takes place very year in May. But the Palace is hardly open for tourist visits, there are constant exhibitions or festivals happening in its premises. MIP TV was hosting a festival when I spent a day there.
