Oh my goodness, delicious. I had the Enzo galette which is smoked duck, roquefort cheese, pear and a lovely salad of mache nantaise with balsamic vinegar.
My son had just a cheese galette and determined it was tres, tres, tres, bien.
Dessert was a chocolate, banana and chantilly crepe. YUM!
We stopped here for a quick lunch. We ordered the galette special of the day (Alex) and a salad (Lea), and followed it up with a sweet crepe for dessert. All of our meals tasted awesome. The service was attentive and very friendly. Our meals came quickly. Would eat here again if we find ourselves in Saint Malo.
Really fantastic galette buckwheat pancakes here. Don't confuse galette pancakes with crepes. The galette variety is made with buckwheat and always has savory ingredients inside such as cheese, duck, chicken, etc. A crepe is made with flour and mostly associated with sweet ingredients inside.
The galettes here were impossibly thin, loaded with ingredients, and yet still crispy and so flavorful.
I had one with smoked duck, pear, roquefort, and a balsamic reduction. The duck had a nice smoky flavor and paired perfectly with the pear, cheese, and balsamic. Along with a nice crisp from the perfectly cooked galette - this was the best thing I had in St Malo.
For dessert I had the salted caramel crepe with ice cream. What can I say - it was just perfect.
