Alison et Sydney sont extraordinaires : tout l'amour qu'ils prennent à cuisiner se ressent dans chacun de leurs plats! La petite salle d'à peine 10 couverts est très agréable, c'est un endroit idéal pour un dîner romantique. Le service d'Alison est impeccable, et à l'entendre fredonner discrètement une mélodie, on a le sentiment de ne pas être les seuls à passer un merveilleux moment :) Merci encore pour votre immense générosité.

Dans une partie de l’école de cuisine le Calabash, Alison et Sidney, 2 chefs primés avec de nombreuses années d'expérience internationale ont créé ‘La Table by the Calabash’, un restaurant intimiste (max 10 pers) d’une qualité exceptionnelle. Le menu évolue régulièrement au grès des saisons, des produits sourcés localement et de l’inspiration des chefs. Nous avons adoré la finesse des plats, l’accueil, la gentillesse et la passion de Sidney et Alison. La Table by the Calabash est une jolie découverte et nous avons hâte de pouvoir y retourner !

Excellent déjeuner dans ce petit restaurant (10 couverts) intimiste où nous avons eu le plaisir de goûter un déjeuner raffiné et copieux, de belles présentations, un bon vin au verre. Hôtes charmants. Un bon moment.

Un grand voyage culinaire et gastronomique vous attend dans cette école de cuisine, ancienne ferme rénové avec beaucoup de goût par les grands chefs Alison et Sidney Bond. C'est une véritable institut de la gastronomie, Alison pour la partie sucrée et Sidney pour la partie salée, ils vous feront voyager au delà de toute frontière dans une ambiance agréable et conviviale, un vrai plaisir, encore bravo !!!!!

Magnifique établissement.Accuei chaleureux.Alison et Sidney sont formidables,leur école de cuisine est agréable, propre et spacieuse.le meilleur pour apprendre est à Yzeures sur Creuse au Calabash.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our culinary adventure. The kitchen is beautiful and superbly equipped. No time is wasted and Chefs Sidney and Alison are generous with knowledge and patience. The recipes were varied, challenging and delicious. They surely 16 hour days to make sure our experience was the best it could be. We had so much fun! One member of our group became ill and no time was wasted in getting her to a doctor. They were very kind to her. I can’t omit the pastoral location and lovely beautifully renovated cottages. Thank you for an unforgettable week.

סינדי ואליסון בונד הם לא רק שפים ענקים ומוכשרים אלא גם אנשים טובים, מורים מצויינים ומארחים מעולים. במהלך הימים ששהינו שם למדו לעבוד עם החומרי גלם הטובים ביותר ובסטנדרטים הגבוהים ביותר. ההסברים מעמיקים וסבלניים והאוירה מדהימה. ממליץ לכל מי שרוצה לשפר יכולות וטכמיקות בישול.

We've had three adventures with Le Calabash and they have all been absolutely fantastic! We have experienced their 5 day French Culinary Adventure at their school/home in the Loire Valley, the 9 day Christmas in France course which takes place in the Loire and Paris and most recently, their African Culinary Adventure in South Africa and Namibia. Alison and Sidney have spent their careers in the service industry and treat every guest like royalty! The pricing is very fair considering the first-rate lodging, transportation, excursions and of course, the food. Sidney and Alison show you how to cook a wide range of dishes with fresh local ingredients. If you like to cook or eat, a Le Calabash adventure will be one of the most memorable times of your life!

I had the good fortune to visit Le Calabash in September of 2016 and embarked upon what was to be the best vacation ever. From the moment I arrived in the tiny town as was greeted by the Chef everything was taken care of for my entire stay. The hotel accommodations were great and the school was outstanding. The group was collected at the hotel each morning and transported to the school for a traditional French breakfast. Following that we began our completely hands-on lessons in the well appointed and spacious kitchen, either working individually or in pairs, but always under supervision of the Chefs...Sidney and Alison Bond. In addition there was a culinary student from Florida and their own daughter who was in culinary school at the time. After the morning's preparation we had a delicious lunch and then back to work in the kitchen. Late afternoon we were taken back to our hotel to rest and refresh before being picked up to go back for dinner...either one that we had prepared during the day or a "Chef's Surprise". Some days there were side trips to local cheese producers, a fabulous food market, wineries, castles in the Loire Valley, dinner at a Michelin starred restaurant.....all so exciting and so fabulous. We were treated like family from the very beginning including meeting Grandma and playing with the family dog in the beautiful courtyard adjacent to the school. I went to Le Calabash as a solo traveler and left with eight new fellow-student friends and a warm and friendly cooking family at the school that I still communicate with almost every day. It was the trip of a lifetime and I can't wait to do it again.

Le Calabash no es solamente un curso de cocina, es una experiencia única con un buen ambiente y buen vino.
