We left Sacre Coeur AT SUNSET to eat here because of the food, staff & ambiance. We first dined here after a concert at Saint-Paul Saint-Louis. The staff was welcoming & spoke English. One even ate there on his night off! The food is that good.
We ordered the dorade & coq au vin, which according to the owner Alexia was substituted with beef bourguignon when the chicken didn't meet their standards. Both dishes were very flavorful & her wine recommendations paired wonderfully. We finished with the cheese plate from her neighbor's farm. As the night progressed, the mood became more fun-spirited. The music transitioned from jazz to "Love come down" & Madonna's "Holiday." We left feeling like this was the "Cheers" for foodies in Paris.
So we returned two nights later, taking the metro directly there after finishing a Montmartre tour. We dined on scallops with risotto, beef with potato gratin & chocolate mousse, which came with an equally-sized side of whipped cream. Everything tasted as good as our first experience. Being our last night in Paris, I was thankful when the staff kindly took my request to play Madonna again. We left feeling like regulars as we walked along the Seine timed to catch the sparkling Eiffel tower.
Chez Mademoiselle was a highlight of our trip. We cannot wait to return!
What a wonderful restaurant!!! We happened upon it whilst looking for a place to celebrate my 70th birthday! Well we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place!!
The staff was fantastic and so helpful and charming!! The food, OMG, the food!!! Lamb done to perfection, a wonderful sole and a whole roasted whitefish to die for!
Agree that the desserts are FANTASTIC!!!! Cant wait to lose a couple pounds so we can go back!!!
Great little place tucked away on Rue Charlemagne. Staff was fun and friendly, enjoyed helping us through the menu with my mediocre French skills. Sole was great, and love the Charcuterie (Spanish based). A real hidden gem!
