On my last night in Paris, I wanted to get away from the sight seeing and family dinners and venture out on my own. With all of the options in Paris, I really wanted something comforting like pho.
When I arrived, there was a line out the door and another ordering take out. Since I was only a party of 1 now, I was seated right away. The place is small and every table was full.
We have a lot of pho in SF, so there were somethings that I noticed that were different. The noodles didn't taste like rice noodles, more like ramen noodles. They didn't have any of the typical pho items like bean sprouts, basil or jalapenos. The meat was prepared differently, but still very good overall.
They didn't have any Viet Beer, only Tsingtao which is Chinese. No worries, I like them all. They also called the dumplings (or gyoza) by the term "ravioli", which was different to see - but probably easier for tourists to understand.
Although I am no expert, this didn't seem to be authentic Vietnamese, but more of an Asian Fusion. It was quite delicious though and was glad I had the opportunity to try it out.
