Just come back from and evening with my partner and what an evening it was! Undeniably some of the best food I've ever had the pleasure of eating.
The 'amouse bouche' of breaded tomato stuffed with a creamy shrimp filling was a fantastic start, followed by a crab and beet salad for myself, and the rabbit ravioli for her. Our mains were the roasted duck with a pepper jelly jus and the confit pork was the most tender I've ever sampled. The Mississippi mud pie we both had for desert matched the entirety of the rest of the meal in both presentation and taste. Even the bread and butter (both being homemade, the butter being an absolutely delightful honey and rosemary flavour) was utterly fantastic.
On top of the quality of the food, the setting is lovely. Overlooking the canal (I requested a window seat that was gladly accommodated) and decorated with dark woods and soft lighting, it is a wonderful locale for any number of people.
Furthermore, the waiting staff were exceptionally attentive and accommodated any request we had. Their English was impeccable ( we tried in French but quickly realized it was easier for everyone if we conversed in English!) The waitor suggested a lovely red wine to go with my duck and all were exceptionally friendly.
If (or rather when) I come back to Paris, this little restaurant will definitely be first on my list of places to go. 10/10 would recommend.
Before we even arrived I was already impressed with Two Stories. Johanna called me about our reservation to explain about the two different restaurants in an effort to find out what would suit us best. We drank and dined in their private room. Love the ambience, food and staff - well done and thank you for a wonderful start to our evening!!
Po Boy Café : c'est bon, c'est beau et l'équipe est adorable. Bravo.
