I've been here twice, both times for birthday dinners, in one case for one I organized.
Great food, good prices, the chef is very nice, and they were very helpful with the organization. It's not easy to find a somewhat affordable place, at short notice, and catering to a wide range of diets, but it all went off without a hitch at Okawali, and everyone had a great time.
For weeks I've been wanting to try Okawali, enthused by all the positive critique on several media. I'm not a ramen connaisseur, merely an amateur of the Japanese comfort food. Okawali was everything I expected. Do try the gyoza, as the fresh ginger really cuts through the meaty farce inside the fried dumplings. The staff will guide you through the menu with ease and patience - choosing your style of ramen is as personal as choosing a new outfit: it reflects your (undoubtly very tasty, as are the ramen) personality. At a grand total of 20 euro's for a gyoza + ramen + frozen kirin beer (do try! It's fun and the frosty foam will keep you busy for hours), it isn't really cheap, but still a good and umami deal!
