Our airbnb host listed le Dix sept as one of her favorites. A check of local food blogs confirmed it. Terrific. When we travel we often like to eat our big meal at lunch and then chill in the apartment or hotel and have a light dinner with wine at "home"。
service was correct and attentive. We all went for the menu formule at 32 euro enjoyed with a bottle of Chablis. An amuse bouche of carrots puréed with fennel came first. The salad Dix sept included jambon and a poached egg. Two of us had the very ample and delicious souris d'agneau whilr the third enjoyed the scallops. All were perfectly cooked.
A dessert of the bavarois de chocolat and a noisette completed a very fine meal.

We stumbled on this place when other places near it were full. Serendipity, because we had a very nice meal, prepared by a chef who is clearly classically trained.
The decor is modern and clean. I'm not sure how long the restaurant has been open, but it feels newish.
I started with something like a relish tray... various confits, really tasty. I had Iberian pork as my entree, and it just melted in my mouth. So goooood...
Lorena had a huge salad with more than she could eat....lardon, egg, veggies.
Julia had the kid's plate, which were house-made chicken nuggets... quite tasty actually.
The Pain Perdu for dessert was excellent, with some ice cream. Like bread pudding.
We shared a very well-priced bottle of bordeaux that we enjoyed very much.
All the dishes were beautifully presented and prepared with only the freshest of ingredients. I would have loved to have been able to try more of their dishes.
By the time we left, the place was pretty full, all locals. This is away from the main tourist area down by the cathedral and the shopping areas where more tourist restaurants are congregated. This place is worth looking for, as, I guess, are the other restaurants around it which were fully booked on a Friday night. So.. venture out.. a short walk or taxi ride, and a whole different dining experience.
Nous avons été très bien accueilli, nous étions avec une poussette (précisé à la réservation), à notre arrivée un espace nous avait été prévu.
Le service s'est déroulé parfaitement.
La cuisine y est bonne pour un budget raisonnable.
